New Tendon Master 8.9

Ropes in the TENDON MASTER range feature smaller diameter, low weight and high safety factor. Only top-quality materials and the most advanced technologies are used in the production of these ropes.

The TEFLON-based impregnation used for these ropes is not only a protection against water but complete protection against adverse conditions which may be encountered by climbers in the mountains and on the rocks.

Ropes treated with TEFLON give better handling, have a significantly better resistance to water and dust, lower friction on the rock in progression belaying points, and therefore a much longer life span.

Under the TENDON premium brand, LANEX has introduced the most advanced rope in the TENDON range reaching the market this summer, namely the Master 8.9. This “eight-point-nine” is a rope with a very small diameter which is certified for all of the three application methods as single, half and twin rope. This lightweight and easy handling rope for sport routes is, according to test results, a strong partner in the mountains in sport climbing to both traditional climbers and extreme-style climbers. It is ideal for mountain guides and their clients, for mountain hiking, mixed climbing, climbing in snow or on ice.

In spite of the small diameter, the rope offers pleasant handling properties and good knotability. The belay device used with this small diameter rope should be carefully selected and belaying is then absolutely safe when using the rope as a single rope. But it requires increased care even by an experienced belayer.

The TEFLON Eco surface finishing of the rope sheath increases the abrasion resistance of the rope and is available as a standard feature. No terrain can take you by surprise when using this rope, and the limits lie in you only.

We plan on making this rope available for purchase in the US market soon. Stay tuned for details.
